We Start With Service

We believe the best way to grow a coaching business is by showing up fully for our clients with skill, presence and care. Coaching is a practice of listening, trust and thoughtful support.

Every coaching relationship begins with a choice and that’s to serve, not to perform. In a world that often celebrates visibility and self-promotion, this choice can feel countercultural. But service is at the heart of real coaching. It’s about being present, attentive and fully available to the person in front of us. To bear witness.

Starting with service means putting aside the need to prove ourselves (and the stories we tell ourselves) and instead focus on what our client most needs. It’s a shift from self to other, from performance to presence. When we show up in this way, our clients feel seen, heard and respected and the work deepens.

It’s about service rooted in care, skill and boundaries that sustains both the coach and those we work with.

In supervision, we can explore what service really means to us. Are we helping to feel useful, or are we truly meeting the client where they are? Are we listening for what’s being said, or what we want to hear? Reflection helps us serve more cleanly, with less ego and more care.

When we start with service, we build businesses that grow through trust and reputation. The depth of our work speaks for itself and we start to see the referrals grow.

Reflect: What could you do this week to start with service?
